Microneedling, before and 3 months after

Microneedling, before and after a series
Microneedling questions
Answered by Emily. Ask her anything else at your visit.
What is microneedling?
A collagen-induction treatment. Tiny needles make micro-injuries in the skin, which sets off your body's own healing and collagen.
What does it treat?
Fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, dark spots and overall skin tone.
How often should I get treatments?
A series of three, 4 to 6 weeks apart, gives the best results.
How long is the downtime?
Most people have 1 to 2 days of redness, like a mild sunburn, and are back to normal the next day.
Is it painful?
We use a topical numbing cream to keep you comfortable. Most people describe it as minimal discomfort.
When will I see results?
A glow within a few days, then steady improvement over the next 4 to 6 weeks as collagen builds. Fall and winter are a good time, since your skin sees less sun.
What should I avoid afterward?
For 24 to 48 hours: no direct sun, tanning beds, sweating, hot showers or baths, alcohol, makeup, or rough towels. For 3 to 5 days: no retinol, acids, exfoliants, vitamin C or benzoyl peroxide. Don't pick or touch your skin. Sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, every day.
Weight loss and wellness
Semaglutide, tirzepatide, peptides and hormone therapy, supervised by Sarah, FNP-BC.
